lyrics
Tief im Norden, vom Packeis verborgen
zwischen Bergen, Fjorden und Gletschern
liegen Welten, der Menschheit verborgen
imaginäre Pforten im Eis
Raue Winde, Schnee und Eis
Karge Landschaft, Unendlichkeit
Konturen schwinden, trüber Schein,
Irrlicht im Dunkeln, Illusion oder Sein
Lichtstrahlen brechen, goldener Glanz
Kristalle funkeln, flimmern im Eis
Gletscher brechen, Eisscholen bersten
Stürme toben, Lebensfeindlichkeit
Uralte Trümmer, konserviert in der Kälte
archaisch wirken Skulpturen im Schnee
wehmütig liegen die Schleier im Nebel
Zeremonien der Monotonie
Phänomene voll Dunkelheit
bleiche Gebilde im Schatten der Zeit
bizzare Strömung, subtil doch klar
voll Atmosphäre, ein glanzloser Altar
Raue Barrieren, eisig und fahl
expandieren, wachsen kolossal
Arktische Sphären, flammen im Licht
polares Antliz, der Äther zerbricht

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae

Simple Black Metal with great atmosphere. Other than the studio version of "For the Glory of Satan" the live version really rocks! One of the rare tracks that together with "Gut the church" have burned themselves into my brain and I can't get them out anymore.
Heathen Deity might be one of the most underrated BM bands of all times, delivering 2 tracks that should be on every BM playlist. 𝕺𝖛 𝕾𝖔𝖗𝖗𝖔𝖜
